While the news of CPU shortage is getting a lot of attention in the press, the shortage of the MLCC (multi-layer ceramic capacitor) has been largely ignored by the press.The spike in demand for MLCC is being driven by electric cars, IoT and industrial markets.

The shortage of MLCC will have a wide range impact to the different high tech industries. For example, the lead time is getting to be much longer (8 to 12 weeks now.) And it can hold up delivery of the other electronic components as well.
