Edge computing will be the next big trend in tech after cloud computing. A significant amount of processing power is shifted from the cloud to the edge of the network to devices such as manufacturing robots and self-driving cars. The market for edge computing is huge. According to a report from BI Intelligence in 2016, it estimated that there will be as many as 5.6 billion connected devices in the market by 2020.
