In most parts of the world, drivers are required to pass the driving test before they get a driver’s license. But how about driverless vehicles? Should driverless vehicles be subjected to the same rule?
Passing the driving test does not mean someone is a good driver or a bad driver. It just means someone meets the minimum requirements to operate a vehicle on the roads.
There are so many production vehicles as well as test vehicles out there with self-driving capability. And we don’t know when the driver is engaged in driving. Wouldn’t it make sense to have vehicles with the self-driving capability to pass the standard driving test before they are allowed on the roads?
