Writing Is Not Just About Speed
A writer’s job is more than just writing. In his new book, Caro spent a lot of time explaining why it takes him so long to produce his books. Robert Caro took seven years to write “The Path to Power.” Caro himself is a fast writer but the research takes time. It takes time poring over documents and interviewing people to get the facts and uncover the truth. He is not alone.
